Founded in 2010, L4L emerged in response to persistent gaps in literacy, teacher capacity, skills development, women’s empowerment, and digital inclusion. We recognised that isolated interventions are not enough. Our solution is a holistic, systems-focused model that integrates learning, skills, wellbeing, and livelihoods.
A literate, skilled, healthy, and empowered society where girls, women, persons with disabilities, and youth fully participate in education, economic life, and leadership.
To deliver inclusive, innovative, and community-driven education and empowerment programmes that strengthen literacy, STEAM competencies, vocational skills, entrepreneurship, wellness, and social equity—while building sustainable pathways to decent work and lifelong learning.
L4L is governed by an independent Board of Directors and led by an experienced Executive Director, supported by programme specialists, administrators, and community facilitators. Robust policies guide financial management, safeguarding, procurement, risk management, and monitoring & evaluation.
