Sheila Osei-Boakye

Sheila Osei Boakye is a seasoned strategic management and programme administration professional with over 11 years of experience at UNESCO Ghana, supporting national and international development initiatives. She brings strong expertise in strategic management, business administration, programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, and institutional support, with a proven ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

She is a Ghanaian education entrepreneur and social impact leader with over a decade of experience advancing inclusive education, youth empowerment, and community wellbeing. She is the Founder of Literacy 4 Life (L4L), a non-governmental organisation delivering integrated programmes in literacy, STEAM and TVET education, teacher capacity building, youth employability, and women’s wellness across Ghana. As Founder and CEO of L4L, Sheila provides strategic leadership for initiatives that address learning gaps, gender inequality, and skills deficits among children, girls, women, and vulnerable youth. Her work emphasises measurable impact, community ownership, and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Under her leadership, L4L has implemented literacy clinics, health and wellness outreach, entrepreneurship training, and menstrual health programmes that have reached thousands of beneficiaries.

Sheila holds an International Executive MBA in Strategic Management from the Paris Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Ghana. Also, she holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management & Business Administration from the International Professional Managers Association (IPMA), UK, alongside multiple professional diplomas in business and management from reputable international and Ghanaian institutions. She also holds an HND in Bilingual Secretaryship & Management Studies from Accra Technical University and is fluent in both English and French, having trained at the Ghana Institute of Languages. Her leadership blends strategic management expertise with grassroots advocacy to drive inclusive, sustainable social impact.
